How does PlotScroll work?

Every book is cut into sessions of about six minutes, each ending at a real stopping point. Read one a night and your lamp stays lit. When you're ready to stop, tap End the session.

Is it free?

Some books, the Free reads shelf, can be read start to finish for free. A subscription opens the whole library, and new subscribers can start with a free trial.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → PlotScroll → Cancel Subscription. You can also get there from Settings → Manage inside PlotScroll. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

I've been charged. Can I get a refund?

Payments are taken by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I got a new phone and lost my subscription.

Open PlotScroll → Me → Settings → Restore a purchase, signed in with the same Apple ID you subscribed with.

Where did my reading go?

Your progress and nights are kept on your phone (there's no account), so they don't move to a new phone or survive deleting the app.

Why can't I find a book?

We only show a book where it is out of copyright in your country, so the library differs a little from country to country. Three books are shown only to readers who confirm in Settings that they are 18 or over.

Where do the books come from?

Most texts come from Project Gutenberg, the volunteer library of public-domain books. The Metamorphosis, The Trial, The Castle and The Phantom of the Opera are new translations made for PlotScroll. Every text is complete and unabridged.

Reminders

Turn the nightly note on or off, or change its time, in Me → Reminders. Notifications for PlotScroll can also be turned off in your iPhone's Settings.

Deleting your data

Me → Settings → Delete everything removes everything PlotScroll keeps on your phone. To ask about any other data, email privacy@plotscroll.app. See our Privacy Policy.

Found a mistake in a book?

Tell us the book, roughly where, and what's wrong to support@plotscroll.app. We read every one.
